For each radionuclide, the flux increased with distance from the cap. This migration is less than that of the radionuclides from the Peace River Repository in Canada, where the average flux in the top 10 cm of soil is 5 times greater than that in the Livermore landfill. Its GDP per capita is below the EU average. Although it’s hard to determine how much of this difference is due to the crisis, it is fair to say that the recession has, at the very least, reduced Greek GDP, since it is generally agreed that the crisis has impacted all economies that have suffered a recession.
